Food Problem?!
Question: I'm 15 days post op. for a wisdom teeth removal.
How can I prevent food from getting inside the open pockets?
Sometimes rinsing my mouth with warm water doesn't help...and it's starting to get annoying. I don't exactly want to go in with a toothpick to get whatever it is I've eaten.
Also - if food gets trapped in there, does it eventually come out? Would it cause an infection if some food bits don't come out and the pocket closes up?

I got little curved pics at a drug store to help pick out the food that gets in the sockets. it is very important that nothing stays in there! I thought I was doing a good job but I still got a nasty infection and was on liquid-only diet for 6 weeks.
