Blood clot in the mouth?!

Question:

Blood clot in the mouth?

I recently woke up with a blood clot on the inside of my mouth. It is located on the inside of my cheek. It seemed to have formed over night because I am pretty sure it wasn't there the night before. Does anyone know anything about this??

Answers:

OH! those are no big deal!
You probably bit your cheek during your sleep. If you must get rid of it, rub the inside of your cheek with a tooth brush, it might break the skin and release the blood. Be sure to gargle with mouthwash afterwards.

You can leave it alone too. Your mouth will get rid of it after a few days.
