Ugly braces?!
Question: i'm a jr. I got braces about four months ago, i haven't smiled with my teeth sence. Alot of my teachers point out that i talk funny or they ask "why don't you smile"
I feel so ugly with them. I don't talk to my friends about it cause they say is they'll be off in a year, i can't talk to my boyfriend about it cause its just weird. I can't find a way to look past the fugly metal in my mouth. And idk what to do.

i hated mine at first too. i would never smile. but then, i realized: no one cares what they'll look like. they really care about your personality.
i just got my braces off and feel great! but guess what, id smile, and only a few people said... oooooh, did you get your braces off? they barely noticed. so guess what, they barely notice you have them on or off.
SMILE! otherwise it'll become a habit and when you get them off... you wont smile.
your boyfriend shouldnt care. and if he does. he is NOT worth it at all.
Oh that must suck. But just think of how pretty your teeth will be in 8 months!
You should have gotten invisalign clear braces.
but since you didnt hun think positive rather be wearing them now and not in high school or college like some people do. you will have the best smile in a little just wait :))
Hold your head high and be proud knowing you are doing something to fix your teeth. Your beauty will come from the way you carry yourself. I wear braces too and I understand how it feels sometimes to look in the mirror and want them off. Hang in there, tell yourself you're beautiful, smile, know who you are and if people can't see beyond that........then they aren't the kind of people you want to be around. It will go by quickly, I promise you.
PS-Lots of people think girls in braces are very hot!
I'm getting my braces off in 2 days, and it's no big deal, no one will care what you look like in them as much as you do. A lot of people have to wear braces, and it's just really no big deal. At least you'll have straight teeth for the rest of your life=)
try your very very hardeswt to forget them. Alot of people get braces and most people look the same. It's really not that bad.
I am so worried about ever having to get braces. if you have braces did they hurt when you got them put in? And I am worried about having bad speech when I get them and then if I have braces for a long time then they might make my voice permanently like that since I would be so used to it so I am afraid that I will talk like a freak for the rest of my life.
