Sensitive toothpaste.?!

Question:

Sensitive toothpaste.?

Ive been using some sensitive toothpaste for a while now and it says do not use for longer than 4 weeks. I have been and now my tooth (only one) is really starting to hurt when something cold touches it. Could the toothpaste be making it sensitive or is it a cavity? I have not had a cavity before so im not sure what its supposed to be like.

It doesnt hurt at all when im touching it. It is just VERY sensitive to cold and only cold.

Answers:

First I would check with the dentist to rule out a cavity since it's better to catch them when their smaller.
Have you tried Sensodyne toothpaste? It works well for reducing the sensativity and the longer you use it the better it works.
