Did your dentist mention to you, that may you're brushing too hard. Husband was told that. He brushes three times a day also. When you brush too hard, it takes the enamel off.

Always use a "soft" toothbrush and don't brush too hard.
Husband always uses "soft" brush, but still was told he was brushing too hard. He since has lightened up on brushing too hard. However, husbands teeth weren't yellow. His teeth may have been caught in time by the dentist.

If you don't trust your dentist, get a second opinion.

Another thing is, do you live were you use well water. If you do, then you have to be sure you use tooth paste with fluoride. There's no fluoride in well water.

I, myself have never heard of scaling. Does that mean, the dentist will remove a layer of enamel? To me that just doesn't sound like that is what you dentist will be doing.

You may have "plaque" build up. Mouth wash prevents the build up of plaque. It's not just a breath freshener nor does it take the place of brushing. It should say on the bottle, antiseptic.

You can get your teeth bleached, either professionally or with strips from the store. However, you can't get your old enamel back with brushing. The yellow isn't like dirt, it's the color of your tooth now.

you could ask a different dentist for a second opinion. i would probably just use crest whitening strips or have my teeth bleached but you should ask your dentist first

sounds to me like you have an STD you really need to go to your doctor for this and not your dentist.
Good luck
