Pain under my tongue?!

Question:

Pain under my tongue?

Hey guys, a few days ago I detected some pain under my tongue, I examined the tongue and found that there was a flappy tissue udner my tongue which has a longated white tail.

I proceeded to pull it off ( and it hurt ) it started to bleed, a couple days later the same place still hurts.

What could this be?!?!

Thanks!

Answers:

Mouth sores can be brought on by just about anything.
The thing with the mouth is although the tissue is one of the fastest to heal, it is also one of the most sensitive. Your Sub lingual glands under your tongue can become inflamed and sore, usually due to a stone. Yup you can get stones everywhere there is water. I would make an appointment with your dentist to check it out only if it doesnt get to feeling better within a few days. Until then. Salt rinse, baking soda, and oraigel. Salt will hurt, but help if there is an infection.
If pain worsens and there is swelling, especially with a fever, go to a "walk-in" appointment with your dentist. If you don't have one, look for one in you town who allows walk-ins
I hope you feel better. Mouth pain is the worst!!
