What type of anaesthesia is safe: local or general?!

Question: Both. That's why medical professionals use them both!

Answers: Both. That's why medical professionals use them both!

Well, they're both safe. There's a tiny risk to general in that you may not wake up again, but sometimes general is neccessary. Would you like to be awake when they crack open your chestbone to operate on your heart?

Both of them are if you follow the guidelines

They are both safe.
I would say that local is a safer, but you will be awake during surgery, and if you moved it could really mess stuff up...so it depends on what surgery is being done.
If the surgeon uses local, they should also use a vasoconstrictor such as epinephrine to hold the anesthetic in place and keep the area numb even hours after the surgery so you won't hurt right after.

Both of them are safe, otherwise neither of them would be allowed to be used! I suppose there is a teent tiny risk of not waking up from the anaesthetic, but that's not common.

Local has a lot less risk involved and is less fuss to use but both are safe and have their own pro's and con's.

LOCAL IS SAFER THAN GENERAL. THERE IS ALWAYS THE CHANCE THAN GENERAL MAY KILL YOU. RARE BUT TRUE.

Depends on your health. I have a problem with low blood pressure and having a general anaesthetic causes it to fall even lower.
When I had an operation for carpal tunnel syndrome I had it done with a local and the worst part of it was having an injection into my hand to numb it. Better to have been done under general.
If your health is good both are safe.

local anaesthesia is safe.but all surgical procedures can not be performed under local anaesthesia.

there is always a 3% risk when going under general anaesthic but both are safe.
