What exactly are spacers?!

Question: what exactly are they?

Answers: what exactly are they?

Say you have a gap between your teeth, it moves them together. Spacers last about 1-2 weeks average, and they're normally put in with a device that looks silver and slender. Spacers prep you for braces. Normally spacers are a whitish, silverish, or even blue coloring.

Hope I helped!

if you have a gap between your teeth you use spacers

From what I remember their these rubber bands that go vertically in between each tooth before you get braces. i had them once, and their nothing compared to a pallet expander!

You get spacers right before you get braces so that your teeth can be spaced far enough apart for the bands around your molars...they are also the bands used to pull your teeth out!!

They are small rubber bands that are put between your back teeth to move them APART from each other. That is why they are called spacers, they space your teeth apart from each other, not pull them together. They are put there so your orthodontist can put brackets on you back teeth.

Brackets are metal bands that go around your back teeth, fitting between your teeth; they are the foundation to hold you wires down to.

I had spacers for a 3 or 4 weeks, since my teeth were so tight, but most people have them for about 2 weeks. Mine hurt quite a bit, but mostly just for the first week or so.
