If you use a regular toothbrush, you should change it every 2-3 months. If you use an electric toothbrush, you should change it every 5-6 months, unless the package says differently. if you have gum disease, you should change your toothbrush every 4-6 weeks because bacteria will sit in the bristles. Rinse all toothbrushes with hot water and if you get sick, change your toothbrush immedidately. Oh, 1 more thing, in Wal-mart they have a toothbrush cap that is supposed to clean your toothbrush when you put it in there. I don't know how effective this is though. I hope this helps!

People usually use 1 toothbrush for a couple weeks then get a new one.
