Is there a dentist awake in the house?!

Question:

Is there a dentist awake in the house?

I had a root canal aprox. 6 weeks ago. I am on my 3rd round of penicillin because there is still infection in there. After I finish the antibiotic, I start to feel general sickness, like a sinus infection. Also my ear on the same side of my face as the root canal has an odor. I have not had this tooth crowned yet and am being referred to an oral surgeon since I refused to go back to the endodonist to have it re-root canaled or whatever it is they do when a root canal does not take the first time. If I have this tooth pulled and it has already had a root canal, will it take longer to heal? Will this help get rid of the infection and are there any additional side effect (like dry socket, etc.) since it has had a root canal? It is tooth number 31. Thank you so much.

Answers:

root canals are failures because the thousands of tubules inside the dead tooth are nothing but traps for thousands of bacteria,,,,,eesha says stay the course & keep taking antibiotics,,,,,,,,sure,,do as eesha says for 6 months & tell us what happens,,,,,,,,,the tooth is dead tissue, minus pulp containing nerves, blood vessels, that ,when excised ,still leaves the dead tooth,,,,,your body reacts to dead tissue as foreign invader,,,,,,and trapped bacteria find ideal ,moist, growing conditionsand turn in to germ factories, your condition as you state it corroborates this,,,,,,,,my suggestion is to have the tooth extracted,,the hole poulticed with disinfectant, get an antifungal as well as the usual antibacterials,,,,,,let the socket heal for 6 months, and get an implant that'l last for 15 to 25 years.
