i have an appointment today

Answers:

Probably , if it was an Amalgam filling then these are held in by the way the tooth is prepared but if its a white filling then these are not relying on cavity preparation so much and are much more adhesive and plyable. Also depends how much of the filling has fallen out , it may be necessary to remove the remainder of the filling and start again. It shouldn't need as much drilling as the previous visit though , most of the prep should have been done the first time round and remember don't pay again unless it was advised the first time round that a filling was not recommended and an extraction , crown , etc was recommended instead.
