No. Your tongue is attached to the bottom of your mouth, even in the event of a seizure you cannot swallow you tongue, it is physically impossible.
This is absolutely ludicrous. You cannot swallow your tongue, in the old days they thought you could so they put something in your mouth when you had a seizure, now they know that putting something in your mouth is dangerous because you could break your teeth out, yes even on a wallet.
The girl who's mother worked in the nursing home is wrong, it is possible for someones tongue to flop to the back of their throat, thus causing blockage to the the airway, then they could suffocate, but you cannot swallow your tongue. Geez.
