Had some dental work done and I need help!?!
Question: I hate going to the dentist but I finally went and they said I needed 6 cavities filled which seemed like a lot but I said okay and $1000 later I have a lot of pain on one side she filled it. I got the resin filling which is supposed to be the same color as your tooth, but its not! My very back teeth are a few shades darker than my white front teeth and they put in a VERY white filling in the back which is very noticeable. Will that filling fade? Why did they put such a bright filling, it doesn't match my teeth. Also, I got this done about a week ago, when do you think the pain should subside? I didn't like going there and so I don't think going back is an option since when I got the work done it was painful ((even though I had novocain)). Help!

Fillings do not fade. If you are unhappy with the shade of the filling, (as long as the filling is ok) you may be able to get a darker layer put on top.
Difficult to say if the pain will go. If you don't want to go back to that dentist you might need to try another, although they will charge you again :) Try asking friends if they know a good dentist.
