Okay definitely don't freak out - but they literally just use force to pop them off. They put the tool in the right spot, apply a minimal amount of force, and they just POP. You feel a little bit of pressure, but a huge amount of relief. It's kid of scary only because you've spent what feels like FOREVER protecting your teeth and braces, and they are just taking them right off! I would not say it hurts, but I was pretty apprehensive at the time. Looking back, I wish I would have enjoyed it more - you're finally freeeeeeeee!!!!
it doesnt hurt as long as you bite down hard... thats about it!! your teeth feel really slimy and weird afterwards though and will be sensitive for a while!
