im a heavy smoker and my teeth have discoloured any ideas as to whats the best way to whiten them and CHEAP?

BOOTS do some great teeth whitening kits from as little as £5. i bought one from there for about £7.50, it last for ages and worked a treat, i dont smoke but wanted my teeth to look pearly white for a speacial b-day nite out.
also use whitening toothpaste instead of normal.
the boots kits come with a tooth guide so u can match the colour ur teeth are at thr start and see how light they get after a few applictions... i think the one i got was called ultra bright or something like that (was in a small greenish plastic box)
they do more exensive kits too that work first application, the cheaper kits start to work after about 3 applications (ie 1 application a day) so use a cheaper kit in advance of a night out or specially occasion, or use once a day in place or ur normal brushing routeen.
