Surgical Extraction?!


Question: I'm going next Tuesday to have a tooth Surgically extracted, I am being put Under for the proceder , But I want to know what kinda pain i'm looking at for afterwards , Should I try an work the next day ? or Am I gonna look like a chipmunk an Not feel like commin into work , this is my first time with A surgical extraction.. so I dont know what to expect . I have had my wisdom teeth out , is it anything like that ??

Hey! Ugh - teeth removal! I think if you've already had your wisdom teeth out, this will be a piece of cake in comparison! You probably will be sore, and have slight swelling, but I'd guess only for about a day or two. It all depends on the person. Were you in pain for a while after your wisdom teeth were taken out? That's a good gauge on how much pain you will be in, because that shows your pain tolerance. Good luck!

It all depends on how you react. I would definately avoid working the next day or maybe just a half day. You need to give your body time to rest so it can heal faster.

MUCH DEPENDS ON HOW THE PROCEDURE IS DONE AND ON WHO DOES IT. YOU CAN CALL THE DR. AND ASK AHEAD ON HOW IT'S DONE AND ON WHAT TO EXPECT.
