Any way to straighten slightly buck teeth OTHER than braces?!

Question: Would habitually apply pressure using my thumb to my 2 front teeth help set them back over a long period of time? They're little about a few milimetres forward, look a tiny bit rabbity. Anything I can do other than braces?

I would try Invisalign, they are clear invisible braces. I've heard a lot of great things about them. I would not think a retainer would work, because a retainer does not move your teeth, it prevents them from moving. Usually after braces you wear a retainer because your teeth shift. If you are worried about the way braces look, they do have lingual braces. These are just regular braces, but they fit behind the teeth so they are totally invisible. They can correct bites that in some cases invisalign cannot. I would go get a free consultation so they can give you your options. Hope i helped a little!

Try invisilign. Other than that, only actual braces would help.

A retainer won't work, FYI. They're meant to RETAIN the results you get after braces. They don't actually do anything to fix your teeth. Do yourself a favor and don't listen to anyone who's still in high school/middle school. Kids don't know jack, though they'd like to think they do.

A retainer could help, i'm sure. Or they always have invisalign.

Just pushing on your teeth for a few minutes probably won't do much. I'd say see an orthodontist to see what he thinks could be done. Chances are a simple retainer will do the trick.

Get a plastic retainer (not the metal retainer)

i have 1 of those

xx

invisalign. its a product that you wear on your teeth. a tray... and it is supposed to fix over bite and straighten teeth just like braces do...

u can have thm pulled and hav fake ones but other than that thers nthing u can do euther wat i sugested or braces somtimes a retainer but thn ull have to get braces

Put a little rubberband across them, anchoring it to the premolars. Get those little clear rubberbands for people's hair. I know someone who did this and it actually worked, he kept wearing this rubberband thing for weeks or even months and eventually his teeth stayed that way.

You could wear a plate./..

Dentists will sometimes prescribe use of a tongue depresser to apply gentle pressure to move teeth in a particular way. Much depends on the geometry of your teeth in your mouth, which needs to be evaluated by a competent practitioner.

Typically, teeth will move to a point where there is room for them to fit. If you are trying to push them someplace where there is insufficient space, then you will also be pushing on adjacent teeth. Braces will coordinate all of the movement. If there is no room, you might require extraction.
