Ok,i have braces..i need help?!
Question: alrite,as u can tell i have braces
my orthodontist says my gums r real swollen
and i need to know how i can make them less swollen
and if i dont make 'em less swollen,working on em is gonna b really painful for me

Peroxide mouthwash (if you want a brandname: Colgate Peroxyl) will help reduce the swelling - I had the orthodontist tell me this before. Read the directions on the back - if you don't do it for at least the recommended time it doesn't do as much good.
As others have said, you should also gently brush your gums. Make sure to floss too - it's a real pain with braces but you gotta do it (if you haven't been doing this then that's probably why your gums are that way).
take some tylonol and try to not move your mouth alot and the pain will decrease

if you dont they become inflamed and bleed
also gingivitis will probably develop if you dont already have it
rinse with mouthwash day and night...it kills germs and any bacteria that will make ur gums swollen and iritated.
Bursh and floss three times a day and do a WARM salt rinse after every meal. Lay off the listerine, the salt rinse should be just as good and will sooth your gums. The warm salt rinse will reduce inflammation.
