My gums bleed?!

Question: I haven't really kept consistantly brushing my teeth but I am now and my gums bleed really bad when I do. I don't think I have a jaw disease but is there any reason?

bleeding gums can be a warning and obvious sign that you are under attack by gum disease. be aware that gum disease shows off a warning sign in the advanced stage. have it checked by a dental expert to get proper treatments.

tooth loss can eventually happen if you left gum disease untreated. if do not pay close attention to good oral hygiene then it can result to gum problems. make it a habit to carefully and properly brush and floss teeth every after meal. this can help remove plaque that sticks around teeth. and can fight bad bacteria that can cause oral infections.

dental visits and dental cleanings are very helpful in taking care of the gums, teeth and oral health. an all natural oral care product can help keep gums and teeth healthy and promote fresh breath. visit http://www.oramd.com for more tips on how to take care of the gums.

Go to the dentist. Floss your teeth. Brush regularly.

you probably have sensitive gums... in drugstores, they sell toothpastes to help that sort of problem =]

I don think its any disease. but might b u havent been takin care of ur teeth for long time !!... do 1 thing , buy a baby brush n bursh gently not harshly. take nutritious food ,avoid junk. even though u use highly qualified toothpaste or brush or wateva , it'l b cured only externally...finally wat matters is ur food intake...

no reason. been there b4. jus keep brusing even when it bleeds and hurts. 3 times a day. eventually ur gums will heal and get use to it. and u will be fine. no reason to see a dentist. maybe jus for a pro cleaning after a few weeks of u brushin ur teeth everyday like ur suppose to

don't worry. Its the effect of your previous "not brushing" days. Apply "gum tone"-a product for healthy gums and eat a lot of citrus fruis. Anyway its better you go meet a dentist.

You probably have gingivitis which is due to your past lack of dental care. Go to the dentist and have him/her do a deep cleaning. Then brush with an electric toothbrush for 2 minutes twice a day and rinse with some peroxide rinse such as "Vince"
This along with flossing should clear it up.

Bleeding gums is a sign of gum disease. You don't want to know what happens if it gets worse. Get to a dentist asap. And brush your teeth every time you eat anything.

Could be because you are brushing to hard and you have sensitive teeth. You should go see the dentist and buy a soft brush and sensitive tooth paste.

good luck

You answered your own question. Your gums are tender because you do not brush enough. They will probably stop bleeding when you toughen them up. Rinse with salt water. That also helps with the bleeding. If it continues after a few weeks, consult your dentist.

brush and floss daily. see your dentist to rule out a medical cause.

Make sure you are using a soft or medium brush. Let the brush do the work, do not brush hard or fast. Brush twice a day at the least, floss & if your gums continue to bleed it may be gingivitus (sp ?). Try rinsing your mouth with warm salt water after brushing.
8 oz. glass of warm water, 1 teaspoon salt dissolved in water. rinse until glass is empty.
I would say that if this does not stop in a few weeks, it would be best to see a dentist to rule out gum disease.

My dentist told me that it was because I don't brush that often. My gums also bleed but not that much.

Damn girl, brush your teeth. I also suggest a mouthwash.

bleeding gums is a sign of gum desise but - it could just be - that when you floss your doing it a tiny bit hard - thats happened to me sometimes....
