My dog has a growth in his mouth (between two teeth). Is this something I shoul!

Question:

My dog has a growth in his mouth (between two teeth). Is this something I should be concerned about?

My 6 year old beagle/basset has a growth that I just noticed between 2 of his small teeth between his incisors and molars. I brush his teach every other week and just noticed it today. Is this something I should be concerned about? He doesn't seem to be in any obvious pain but is squeamish about me trying to touch it. He is still eating.

Answers:

If he's squeamish, he is likely experiencing discomfort when you try to touch it. He could have an infection of the gums or perhaps an abcessed tooth. You should take him to the vet to have it checked.
