Pain question: My 80-year-old mother has bone loss and I was told that the pain?!

I know that there are procedures to do this in the back and other areas. I believe they can either cut the nerve, or give a shot to kill it. I would imagine an oral surgeon (or ask her local dentist) what he recommends.

This is a question that should be taken to her dentist/oral surgeon. We're friendly amateurs here, but not really qualified to answer this, especially as she may have other age related issues that could impact such a procedure.
tell her to get some orajel.. it will numb it... or smoke marijuana to take pain away
You should definitely take her to a dentist. Even a couple if you have to to find a compassionate dentist that will work with her.
