My 8 year old thats turning 9 is sucking her thumb help!?

well my 8 year old thats turning 9 shes sucking her thumb and she has a retainer that she needs to wear and she doesnt wear it and she has to wear her dentist said she HAS to or she wont have straight teeth and guess what else she sleeps with barney. what should i do!!!


Answers:

she would slowly get use to stop doing that
or you can take away her toys and she would get use to it
thats what my dad did when i was little and now i don't even play with toys anymore
