Oh I hated having braces. You may not like the procedure but trust me, it will be worth it.

When they took off my braces and my sisters braces they basically took a pair of pliers (dental pliers) and twisted on the brackets until they popped off. It doesn't really hurt you or your teeth, theres just a lot of pressure. Then they buff your teeth to get rid of any excess glue and of course clean them to a shiny finish.

Thats how they did mine at least and this was a couple years ago so they may do it different now.

My biggest tip for you though is about the retainer. Most of the time if you have braces taken off you will need to wear a retainer for a couple months to maybe even a year after to make sure your teeth don't move back to the way they were. I was so sure I wanted a clear plastic retainer so no one could see it and I could show off my nice teeth. But those things are worse than braces. The wire ones with the plastic that sits at the roof of your mouth are just as bad.

So if your dentist can do it, ask him to glue a wire behind your teeth. I know it sounds weird and your probably thinking "after having braces the last thing I want is something else glued into my mouth!" But that wire is so much smaller than braces and after a couple days you will forget its there. It also wont cut up your mouth like braces will. Plus with the other retainers you have to keep them in all the time and take them out to eat and blah blah blah. The wire is just so much easier. Good luck!

ok first they pull them off with those little pliar things dont worry it doesnt hurt one bit. Then they drill the glue off of your teeth. Still no pain. Then they shine them with some whitening stuff which feels good. Then you can brush your teeth and your good to go. Then you either have retainer fitting or info on how to keep your teeth good after you get them off

-good luck :)

they jut pull them off then shave the glue off it doesnt hurt at all trust me
