Braces help? Mouth stretcher?!
Question: Ok, so my friends have been telling me something about a mouth stretcher (or maybe its called a lip stretcher.idk) that you wear while they are putting the braces on. What is it like when you have it on? I have a strong gag reflex so do you think I will gag when they put it in? I greatly appreciate your answers because I am getting braces in 5 days!!

It is just really awkward. it is like putting your fingers in your cheeks and pulling sideways. put on a bunch of chapstick beforehand, so your lips don't crack. no, it doesn't go near your gag reflex, tho they do have this thing that goes over your tongue to suck up all the saliva
i have a joke with my mom and we call them cheeker chuckers
they basically stretch your cheeks so they can get in to see your teeth
i would definitely advise you to wear chapstick before so your
lips don't crack and feel really painful, cause that happened to me once.
i didn't really think they hurt
you most likely will not gag
so no worries :D

Just rememeber to put some vasiline or like your lips before its put on because it will stretch your lips and it will hurt like hell!!!
