Dental question.......?!

Question: I had a deep clean today on my teeth and they filled 2 cavities. Something feels wrong on my bite now. On the left side of my back teeth there is something wrong with my bite.... It kind of feels un-even and when its closed the other side of my mouths bite will not shut.

Also, when I run my tounge across the back left, I feel something really sharp.

What do you think it is? I called and left a message with the dentist but no word yet and also have an appointment on Sunday to go back to have another side of my mouth done...

my husband thinks im crazy but this just doesnt feel right. When I eat, I try to chew with my right side but my left will go down first making it so my right side I cant eat with. Its almost like the left teeth are taller!
He says when I heal that it will feel normal... I feel NO pain though

Yeah, you definitely need to have the filling checked. The doctor checks it after he fills it to make sure you aren't biting too hard on it and takes some of the filling material away to make sure you are biting evenly, but..... when you are numb, sometimes you don't bite normal. He can check it again before he numbs you and smooth it down. He will have you bite on some blue paper to mark the high spots and smooth the spots off with the handpiece. Very easy. Make sure he smoothes the sharp spot too. If you don't have him adjust it, then the tooth you are hitting on when you bite will get sore.

One of the fillings may be high. They may need to smooth it down when you go back. The sharp thing may smooth itself. Depending on how much buildup you had on your teeth to start, you may be feeling a part of your tooth that wasn't exposed before. Also, the dentist may plan to make your bite more equal when he fixes the other side.

It seems like the filling are little high and not finished smoothly, and they have sharp edges that you feel.
This kind of problem will not heal on it's own, Your dentist should be able to adjust them and smooth them out very easily.

your dentist might not have checked the articulation on the tooth but most likely it just needs some trimming on the occlusal [biting ] surface of the tooth
