Question:

I'm 14, and my 'first premolar' just grew out. Except my baby tooth hasn't fallen out yet.?

My baby tooth is still underneath the tooth that grew out. It's a littles shakey, but won't move. The tooth grew over outwards ontop, so I can't pull it out frontways. I can't pull it out backwards either. What should I do? Go to the dentist? What will they do?

And If I do pull it out, won't it still be sticking out? Do I have to get that fixed?

Answers:

If your permanent tooth has just started to come in and you get the baby tooth out soon - at home or by the dentist - the permanent tooth might just drop down into the proper position as it grows into place. I've certainly seen this happen many times.
