How long does it take braces to close up a gap?!
Question: i had to get 4 teeth pulled for braces & now i have these big gaps in my mouth. how long will it take for the braces to close the gaps in?
& i have a tooth that never came down because it didnt have room....now that it has room how long will it take to come down?

I had the exact same thing!
It may take several months for them to completely close together but the gaps will be much smaller before you know it!
Sorry- but i reckon at least a year- at most 2 yrs and check with the orthidontist- i wouldve thought he would tell you. he should have- you ought to know!
the tooth should begin to crown and start to grow soon. If it now has room, there is nothing stopping it. But i'd say for the tooth to be full and out, probably a year. teeth take a while. lol
For the gap though, that could take as long as it is needed. I know people who had braces for 2 years, and i;ve known people to have braces for 10 years, It all depends on the constant work with the braces. You have to keep them in good shape, and the more frequent visits to the dentist to tighten them will shorten the amount of time it takes to fill that gap. Your jaw is being molded, so if it is rushed, it will hurt real bad. Ouch!!!
the braces are pretty much pulling and spacing your teeth together, so it mostly depends on the position of the gap, and the distance of the gap.

It depends... I also have 4 teeth that have to be pulled and its been almost 2 years. I think it only depends on how it will be pulled. Elastics on teeth may help but try asking your dentist.
The shortest time I think is almost one year.
For your second question, just wait and have patience... your dentist knows much more. Maybe it will take time but your teeth will be more beautiful and you will have a perfect smile soon...
