Help Dental Care?!
Question:
Help Dental Care?
I have looked around the web for info related to my question and can find nothing. My questions are: What is teeth cleaning and what is teeth whitening? What is the process of each one? Detail info would be greatly appreciated. I do not have good teeth because I do not visit the dentist very often due to health care cost. Thanks

I notice that some of you post it takes two days. Are these days back to back or are they seperated by days.
Answers:
Whitening: You can do it at home:
Whitening is a treatment that "bleaches" your teeth. It is done with toothpaste or/and whitening strips. ( depending on how yellow your teeth are )
The paste and the strips contain sodium fluoride . You Can also achieve a certain level of bleaching by applying baking soda to the tooth brush ( with or without toothpaste) and brush as normal. This should not be done more than 3 times a week because it takes some of your calcium from your teeth.
Cleaning: Dentist
Cleaning is a process that should be done twice a year . Usually done by dental hygienists , they go deep into your gums around each teeth to bring out sediments built up inside your gums. Flossing is part of cleaning. The deeper the gum pocket become ( from lack of flossing, the sediments dig into your gums) the easier it is for a person to loose her/his teeth when older because the roots don't have much gum to grab on to.
Dentists go by numbers( I believe they represent ml) , low is good , and from 5-7 is not. Again, according to my dentist flossing helps prevent this , but it is not a substitute for cleaning. Cleaning is done in two sessions, upper gums one day , and lower another ( they use Anestassia and gums are very sensitive for 2 days after it is done)
YOU CAN SCHEDULE IT AS YOU LIKE . I did upper one monday and lower the next monday.
I hope it's what you were looking for.
