Pain when I use syringe on wisdom tooth site?!

Question: I went to see my oral surgeon after I thought I had an infection and they cleaned the wisdom tooth hole with a syringe which did the trick. They then gave it to me and told me to use it after I eat. But, it seems like every time after I use it, I get this pain in that area that gives me a quick headache and throbbing that makes me tear up and get frustrated.
Is it normal to get that feeling? If I had dry socket I would think they would have told me when I went in but they said I was healing fine.
I am just so frustrated with the syringe pain and the Ibprofen and pain killers not working

Sorry to hear you are having this kind of pain. If this were a dry socket you would be experiencing significant pain at all times not just after cleaning the extraction site. What might be the problem is the force at which you are using the syringe. If you are "squirting" the water to hard into the soft tissue of your gums you may be aggravating the problem. Use very low pressure, you are just trying to rinse the area clean not pressure wash it.

Might just want to forget the syringe altogether. Instead just use a warm salty rinse after you eat. A pinch of salt to a glass of warm water...nothing saltier than the ocean. Gently rinse and spit a few times in the area after you eat and you will be fine.

Hope this helps.
