How can a dentist qualified in India work as a hygienist in Canada?!

How can a dentist qualified in India work as a hygienist in Canada?
Answers:
They would have to apply to the dental hygiene board to see if they have the required qualifications, and if not, they would need to take additional education....im not sure if its like this everywhere, but I'm pretty sure its that way in ontario
