Dry socket ?how long can i leave the gauze in?
the hole thats left after i had tooth pulled,well it faces my touge in a maner that pulls on the socket every time i swallow. im afraid of dry socket occuring. it seems while i have gauze in it i can swallow my spit and mucus and it dosent seem to bother it? can something bad happen if i wear gauze in it to long??
Answers:
Make sure you change gauze every two hours. Do not smoke, suck on a straw, eat soft foods and do not chew on that side. Make sure you wet gauze when you change it. You do not want to get an infection!
