Spacers & Braces???!
Question: Im getting braces the 24th, but I'm getting spacers the 20th. I've already had spacers once, but I want to know- Which hurt worse, spacers or braces?

I am consistently told by my patients that spacers are the worst part of braces. In my experience (having been through braces twice myself) it was certainly true for me. That's probably because, before spacers, you haven't really ever experienced the soreness associated with moving your teeth. After spacers, the braces themselves are usually less painful. That said, braces are uncomfortable for a whole different reason since they rub inside your lips and cheeks.
And as folks have said, you'll be sore for a few days after each adjustment, but it's rarely bad enough to require even ibuprofen or tylenol.
