Is there a cause for concern?!

Question: It's like this. About six years ago I noticed my four front adult teeth were very slightly loose, almost unnoticeable visually but I felt it. I went to the dentist and she said I was dreaming, there's nothing wrong and told me not to worry about it. Today it's still just as shaky and nothing major has happened so far but I'm putting on my braces very soon and I'm a tad worried that the pulling and tugging might worsen whatever condition my teeth are in right now. Is there any cause for concern? Is it because of my overbite that my adult teeth are loose? I practise good dental hygiene and the dentist I'm visiting now has not mentioned anything about the condition of my teeth.

Any opinion, except one-sentence answers (i.e. Go ask your dentist about it), will be greatly welcomed. Thanks.

Is it that you notice movement when you bite your teeth together and you have your finger on them to feel? All teeth have a little "give". That's completely normal. I'm sure your dentist took a x-ray of the front teeth. If they had a problem, it would have showed up. Getting braces is actually a slow process. The teeth are moved small amounts over a long period of time (that's why people seem to wear them forever, me too!) Have your orthodontist look at the teeth before they put the braces on, ask their opinion. If they agree with your dentist, I wouldn't worry.

you are ok, its actually the skin on your fingers and gums are supposed to give way a little

Your overbite could be what is making them feel loose. The bottom teeth are putting too much pressure on the back of the upper teeth. Braces may actually solve your problem.

Try getting a free consultation. Some orthodontist will give you free consultations, call them, and tell them your interested in getting braces. I got 3 opinions before I got my sons braces, i wanted to see if anyone would say something different then my sons Dentist they were all the same, and free. One place I took him they did Xrays, electronic before an d after imaging and many other things (all for free), if you go maybe someone else will notice what you think you do. Get out the yellow pages and see who offers free consultation, initially don't tell them about the loose teeth see if they notice.
