After braces?!

Question: okay so i never and i mean NEVER brushed my teeth wen i was younger. (wen i was younger--im talking about until i was like 11). I am 14 now. I have had my braces for 3 years. I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day, started using ACT rinse, (but not flossing).

I am scared that when i get my braces off, instead of having yellow teeth with white squares (from the braces) i will have white teeth with yellow squares because i only really started brushing my teeth after i got my braces. I am very scared. If this happens or if i have what people normally have (yellow teeth + white marks) can they remove the discoloration?

thanks in advance!

There are excellent products out there for teeth whitening, so please don't worry about that. Once your teeth are stained, basic brushing isn't going to remove the stains. Even the tooth whitening formulas aren't that strong - you really have to use whitening products, and of course what you buy from the dentist (not over-the-counter stuff) is going to work the best. You probably won't run into this problem, but I know how you feel. I was really worried about that too.

When I got my braces off, I used Crest Whitestrips for a few weeks and my teeth look GREAT still!

well it depends on how deep the plaque deposit is and if it is not that deep than they are able to fix it

well for me the dentist sraped all the glue off of my teeth and whitened them for me...so u should be okay..
