Hey, buddy. Could be air got trapped under your filling and that can cause big time pain and sensitivity, and worse, INFECTION, all of which probably caused the crack in your tooth. But you need a professional opinion so get back to your dentist pronto! You might get away with a new filling, but I'm thinking cap or possible root canal.

you need to go back to the dentist and have the filling redone. either part of the filling fell out or the tooth cracked and that's almost like having a cavity.

you may have cracked the tooth chewing on something hard ...or part of the filling may have broken out....filling may need redone or you may need a crown....i would try that first...a rootcanal may not be out of the question.....you need to go see your dentsit

If you have pain when you put pressure on the tooth, then it is likely that you have a fracture of the tooth. The pressure opens the fracture and directly puts pressure on the nerve as well as leaving a gap for cold or hot liquids to enter and that too can cause a quick but intensely sharp increase of pain. If you have pain even without pressure or exposure to cold (drinks, sucking in air), you might have an infection. Running a fever is not definitely necessary for the diagnosis. Go to your dentist and have him or her x-ray the tooth and do a diagnostic workup. Don't wait too long. If you have an infection keep in mind that your tooth is about 4 inches from your brain.

Its,a cavity that starts from behind the tooth and cracks to the
middle and then gum diseases start.
