Could the bacteria from an untreated abcessed tooth cause severe neck pain and breathing problems?

I have some penicillin, 500 mg capsules that I've been taking the last couple of days. I will see my doctor post-haste!

Yes, if an abcess isn't treated it can be very serious. It can spread and cause an infection of the brain, heart, or lungs. If you are having breathing problems go to the ER right away or see your doctor 1st thing in the AM as it could be life threatening.
