My wisdom teeth have really been bothering me lately?

I cannot get them taken out for about another month because my doctor recently found that I have a heart murmer. I cannot get them taken out until the cardiologist diagnosis my heart condition ( I may have mitral valve prolapse). Is there any home remedy to help with the pain from my wisdom teeth? They are even causing me to have headdahces. Thanks.

I assume you are waiting for a definitive diagnosis of your heart murmur so that you will know if you need to take antibiotics prior to having your teeth out. If this is so and you are having symptoms with your teeth, you might discuss with the dentist/oral surgeon going ahead with the procedure and just taking the antibiotics on the assumption that you in fact have mitral valve prolapse. While there is always a risk when taking antibiotics and it would of course be especially disappointing to have an adverse outcome because of taking antibiotics that you'd come to find out later weren't necessary, the risk is quite small. It would seem wise in your case to consider enduring the risk of an adverse event from antibiotics so that you could solve the problem that is causing you pain by having the wisdom teeth out now. Rarely if ever is there anything in medicine that is risk-free, accepting any treatment is just the result of your judgment based on whether the benefits outweigh the risks in a given situation. In the situation you present, the benefit of going ahead now appears to outweigh the risks.
