i had 6 teeth extracted some time ago, it was swolen for about a week, now its getting better, its been about 4 weeks. adult ones will hurt more and take longer to heal than baby teeth.

You had a lot done at once! Give yourself at least a week for all the swelling to go down.. As for the bleeding that should stop in the next few days keep the gauze in your mouth when you are not eating/drinking! If it does not stop soon call the surgeon.. Happy healing been through it and it is not fun..

you should be great in a week or two keep your mouth clean and limit any rough activities you want the gum to clot and then heal. so don't constantly mess with you mouth or use a straw.

the bleeding should quit soon it might have lasted a bit longer due to throwing up...as for the swelling it will take more like 5- 7 days to go down to where you can't tell it is there but still might have a little like the bleeding it also might be bruised a bit that will take a bit longer to clear up like any normal bruise i know it is frustrating but really a wk should take you close to normal good luck and hang in there it gets better soon

I have to have mine taken out over the summer and my dentist said that I wouldn't be able to do any thing for about three days... but they didn't say any thing about the sweeling.

However... people that I know who have had them taken out during the school year usually come back to school a little swollen, but the swelling goes down a few days after they return to school.

I hope that your swelling goes down quickly and that you are feeling better soon!

Wait a week and see and eat lots of ice cream.
Good luck.

Btw. Martin Luther king spam's SOOOO old.

A cool tea bag of any variety of tea containing tannic acid, such as green, black or oolong, can stop bleeding problems that often follow a tooth extraction. Place a cool tea bag over the spot where your tooth was pulled, then bite gently. The tannic acid in the tea helps promote clotting, which will help stop your bleeding.More remedies and information regarding your teeth at http://useinfo-dentalcare.blogspot.com/

Four at once is a lot.
The fact that you're bleeding is better than not.
Dry sockets are the WORST!
Less stress is better.
Try a cup instead of a straw.
The sucking puts added stress on your gums.
