My dentist screwed up?!
Question: i recently went to have a temp made for a crown not only did the injection hurt terribly he sliced the inside of my cheeck twice with his drill, i had no idea this had happened until his nurse told me after he had left the room im now taking penicillin and can hardly move my jaw from a week ago these are nasty gashes and are not healing well any ideas on how to proceed with this i know what id like to do but im told i dont want to do that... help and thank you

I did this once to a patient...and it was my mom of all people! I put in a couple stitches, as I remember, and it healed quickly. If I had not placed stitches, it probably would have still healed quickly since the mouth generally does do so. It is unfortunate that your dentist did not tell you what happened...he was probably embarrassed. I guess the choice you have would be not to go to him any more if you don't feel that you can trust him
Regarding your "gashes": Rinse with warm saltwater twice a day (1 teaspoon salt water in 1 cup water). I would guess they will be completely healed in about 1 week. If it doesn't heal, ask the dentist for an exam/advice. Take care.

well if i were you i would sue him but that is my opinion
well....
1. you can sue him
2. you can go back and complain until they help
3. you can just deal with it. :)
