Why is my gum detaching from #16 after tooth extraction?!

Why is my gum detaching from #16 after tooth extraction?

i had 17 extracted 6 days ago, and now that my holes have opened up the gum around number 16 is detaching, and might i add its painfull!
Is this normal?

My bottom left wisdom tooth was extracted 6 days ago, and the holes have come in, and now the gum on the tooth right beside is detaching from the tooth. Is this normal?
