make an appointment to see your orthodontist. he can fix the problem by either adjusting the retainer you have now, or making a new one. it will hurt a little, but usually they can fix it without braces if its not too bad. make an appointment soon!

Gawd u freak!

I had braces and, like you , didnt wear my retainers. Now Im 17, await getting braces on again! You do NOT want this to happen to you, trust me. My orthadontist told me, after about a year and a half of not wearing braces, that wearing my retainers would straighten my teeth to a stage where I would be happy with them btu I lost my retainers! My suggestion is to definitely start wearing them again and to give them about 6 months (Seems like ages, I know) before really worrying! But wear them EVERY night! Hope this helps x

no, if they really are big enough gaps, your retainer is not going to be able to do that job of holding your teeth anymore and definetely not to straighten them, simply because now it wont fit. You made the decision not to wear them for 3 months, now, your results are gappy teeth.

maybe in the near feature you can get braces again, but until then, make sure you dont make the same mistake as you did this time.

BUT, if your gaps are minor, and your retainer is still able to fit, then they just may be able to close again. it's not likely, but it might.
