Our office charges $108 for a simple extraction. The fees for fillings run between $83 and $175, depending on the size of the filling (# of surfaces) and what material is used. Since we don't do root canals, the endodontist we refer to charges anywhere between $800 (front tooth) and $1200 (back tooth).
So, worst case scenario, if you were to have one extraction, one filling and a root canal treatment, it would have cost you $1483.
~Hope this helped.
That does sound like a lot. Last time I had a root canal it was around $500 but it may be more now. Crowns were around the same price and are now $900-1500. Extraction can be considered surgery but I've never had it so not sure how much. It still sounds like a lot, though!
Why not check with another dentist in your area & ask how much the same procedures would be, then switch dentists if there is a big difference.

Sounds high to me, maybe before you go any further talk with your dentist about the cost and to another dentist.
And see if there is a dental school in your town or near large town. You pay for at a lesser amount because they are training dentists, but there is always a fully trained licensed dentist on hand.
