Question:
Dry socket??
i just got all of my wisdom teeth out tuesday,May 15 2007 and i wanna know when i cant get dry socket anymore and start smoking again after the risk of dry socket is gone...also what type of foods cant i eat and eat
Answers:
2 days is usually enough time for most smokers to establish a good enough clot to begin back smoking w/out developing a dry socket. The first 48 hours are the most critical, after that your clot should be pretty well established. Eat whatever you feel up to eating, just be cautious about really sticky stuff b/c it could stick to your stitches or even pull on them and be very careful w/ very small crunchy things they could still get stuck in the wound b/c it hasn't healed shut yet. Just don't start smoking like a train. Give your mouth breaks to cool down and regain oxygen after each cigarette
