Is there a medical reason to prefer invsiline over traditional braces?

Or is there a reason that traditional braces would be preferable?

In situations where either can be used, I would recommend invisalign over traditional braces because Invisalign makes it much easier for the patient to maintain his/her oral hygiene.

Braces requires wires and brackets which ties one's teeth together and makes it difficult to brush and floss. Consequently one often sees things like overgrown gingiva and staining on teeth when braces come off because the patient was not able to maintain adequate oral hygiene.

With invisalign, you take off the aligners, eat your meal, then brush and floss your teeth clean before you put them back on. Oral hygiene is easy to maintain during treatment.
