Avoiding pain at the dentist?
I am wary of going to the dentist because I never know when he's going to announce some procedure and dig out his favourite syringe. I dislike the sharp pain this causes, even though he's gentle and patient to put a little at a time. Is there any way to avoid this pain? Having the gums swabbed with clove oil just prior to the jab doesn't seem to have any effect.

If you're that nervous about dental, ask your dentist if he can perscribe you a sedative like Valium to help relax you.
