I just got braces today! lol
Ok, so
first I went in and they had to fit brackets for my back teeth (little metal 'crown things' that fit around your back teeth and connect the wires on your teeth). That can take awhile because it can be hard to find the right size. Once they are fitted perfectly, they take them out again and put cement stuff on them so they can stick to your teeth. I will be honest with you, it tastes nasty! so gross! But luckily they let you rinse out afterwards to get the nasty taste out. Then, they use plastic thing to stick in your mouth to keep it open. Personally, I liked them because I could just rest my mouth and not worry about holding it open.
Then, they 'shampooed and conditionarized' my teeth (GETTING OUT THE MOLD)by first putting on some gel and letting it sit for awhile, and putting on another afterwards. Some of it accidentally seeped onto my tongue and it tasted gross so they gave me one of those sucker-things to suck it out.
Then, they stuck on the braces and let me have a look at them. After that, they laced through the wires and added the special colored rubber bands. You can choose what color you want, I chose blue but all of the colors are nice.
Then, you are done!
they usually give you some information and some tools (toothbrush, wax, floss, etc) or make you watch an informational video.
The whole process takes around an hour or a little more, depending on how quickly your brackets are fitted.
It will be sore for a few days, but as long as you eat soft foods, it will be ok.
It sounds kind of bad, but it's all worth it once you have a beautiful smile :D

Braces does not hurt at all when they put it one. They put the bracket on and then they use a machine and it like glues it into place.

It usually takes about two years (varys between person to person, u can also ask your ortho doctor).

the molding is just this plastic thing (looks like a mouth piece) and they have this gunk the mix and they put it on your teeth and have you hold it for 5-10 minutes.
