Invisalign question?!

Question:

Invisalign question?

I had braces growing up and my teeth are pretty straight. However I've noticed my bottom teeth and one upper tooth seem to be trying to move back to how they were. It's pretty slight now, but I would like to correct it back before it gets any worse. Would Invisalign be my best option? What kind of money should I expect to pay?

I'm 36. My braces came off 18 years ago, but my bottom retainer wasn't taken out until about 5 years ago. Now I have two bottom teeth moving backward and the ones flanking them moving forward and in. This SUCKS! They weren't supposed to move BACK!

Answers:

All orthodontic straightening tools tend to lose their pull over time. Invisalign, because of it's price (upwards $4,000), would not be the best option. Talk to your dentist to see if you could get a retainer instead to save yourself the money.

Of course, that all depends on the severity of the crowding, which doesn't sound bad by your description. A retainer should work fine, even though it may take a year or even more to keep your teeth in perfect alignment.
