Has anyone had this done before?
I have braces. Sadly. I have an overbite, but technically i don't because my jaw is farther back than what it is supposed to be. I have been talking to my orthodontist about a surgery that could fix it. My question is has anyone done this kind of surgery before? If so, did it hurt?

It will hurt. A lot. Your face will probably be swollen for a while and you may not be able to move your jaw to eat, talk or drink.
Surgery should never be entered on a whim and careful consideration and lots of time spend of research is in order if you do plan to follow this route. Think about the pros and cons: How much time, money and pain will this bring me? How much will this really helps me? You can live a normal life with minor overbite, no one probably will ever notice it except you. Surgery should always be at the very bootom of your list unless it could save your life.
