Spacer discomfort..?
Okay, so i just got spacers today (im getting my braces in two weeks) and they don't hurt, but they're annoying the hell out of me!!! I'm about to pull them out!! what can i do so I dont? is it just mind over matter? I dont think advil or anything will help me to not pull them out! ughhhhhh please help me!

Okay yeah.. this really sucks. I'm trying to eat dinner now. It's taking me 5 minutes to chew and swallow each bite of hamburger... ahhhh.. i'm going to die before these 2 weeks are over!

You just have to live with it. Out of everything my Orthodontist did the spacers where the worst part for me too. It's in your best interest to keep them in. Advil will help.
It will be better in the long run not to take them out. When you go back in 2 weeks and its hard for them to place the braces around the teeth because you didn't wear the spacers you'll be in even more pain then. Rubber is more comfortable than metal.
