Fixing My Bite?!

Question: I have went back to the dentist twice to have him fix my bite and everytime I leave it feels 100% better. Within a day the pain is back. The first time it hurt from Thursday night all the way until I could see him yesterday morning. Within a few hours a slight pain was back but nowhere like it was. It's still a little sore and it doesn't really hurt when I eat but sometimes I chew the wrong way or something and I feel a jolt of pain. Because of this, I have hardly ate anything for days and I've only been drinking water. I go to the orthodontist in the morning to have him look at a tooth that is coming in behind a top molar. This molar happens to be on top of the tooth that I am having problems with. I know it was a fairly deep cavity but my mom has had some extensive dental work done and she said she never felt any pain afterwards. Can the ortho fix it or will I have to keep going back to my dentist? He told me to wait until Wednesday but I'm getting sick of it. What should I do?

Here's one possibility. When you have a deep filing, that means that in order to remove all the decay the dentist may have had to grind down to a point very close to the "Pulp Chamber"..the area that houses the tooth's nerve. He no doubt placed a shock barrier over the chamber before completing the filing, but to further block shock created by heat and cold, the tooth it self begins to rebuild a layer of Dentin in the space that will be created as the Pulp Chamber shrinks away from the shock area. This new layer of Dentin will help provide a barrier to future heat and cold shock waves....It takes a while for that layer to rebuild though so it will take some patience on your part. In the mean time go to the pharmacy and purchase a product called "Ora-Jel", it will help control the pain while the tooth is healing....If the pain persists the DDS needs to Xray the tooth to make sure he removed all the decay and no infection is present...Lastly, if when removing the deep decay the DDS came to close to the pulp chamber and damaged it or over heated it when grinding, the nerve may be so injured it's dying. If that is the case, your next step will be a root canal and crown or possible extraction.

well, i think there was something wrong with my bite and i got braces and it fixed it.but i never felt the pain your talking about it. i think its kinda weird that you feel better straight after the dentist. how can they fix a bite that fast. it took months for my teeth to move to the correct position and 2 years for them to be just right.but maybe i'm wrong????
